The Best 5 Years

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY Matt. Thank you for making the last 5 years of my life the most wonderful, fun, adventurous, spiritual, and amazing years I have ever had.

This was our first picture together. The night we met I was so drawn to Matt but my roomate had the biggest crush on him (remember Ash pretty funny huh) so I didn't really think anything of it. Who knew that a 2:00 a.m. trip to Dennys would lead me to my future husband.
Even at a young age Matt has loved to work. If he is not moving or doing something he goes crazy. Thank You Matt for working so hard and giving us everything we have ever wanted and needed.

The best day of my life, when I became Mrs. Matt Mortensen. Thank you Matt for making me your wife. Thank you for being the most loving, caring, and amazing husband. Thank you for sticking by me through thick and thin, through all of my many mood swings and most of all Thank you for being able to give us an Enternal Family.

Thank you for giving me the most precious gifts, our boys. Thank you for being the most amazing Dad to our children. They are truly blessed to have you as thier father, guide and example. They love you so much.

Matt I love you so much. Words can't describe how I feel about you and how you make me feel. I love that I still get butterflies when you walk through the door, that I still love to get dressed up and go out with you and I love that when we are out you still open the doors and hold my hand and make me feel special. I am excited to see what the future brings for us, but most of all I am excited that I get to spend eternity with my Best Friend, Lover and Companion. I LOVE LOVE LOVE you Matt Mortensen.

Matt won the battle

Matt has wanted a bike for awhile now and he finally won the battle. Since he has been saving like crazy ( I wouldn't let him have one untill he could pay cash for it) and working so hard, I decided to give in and say yes. He has been walking around with a perma grin on his face all weekend and the boys love to ride on the bike. Thanks for working so hard and being the best dad and husband anyone could ask for. We love you and I hope you enjoy your bike.

Canada and Montana

We had the chance to go to Canada this past week for my cousins wedding. It was so fun being able to see my family that I haven't seen for awhile and to be honest even though it felt like all we did was drive it was so nice to get away and have a little fun. Here we are outside the Cardston Alberta Temple.
Matt, Brodyn and Dredyn taking a break from all the chaos at the reception.

Me with my cousins Eliza and Tasha. These two are both expecting babys in the next month.

Me and my fam waiting for the reception to be over.

This is how Dredyn travels and

this is how Brodyn travels :)

We drove from Canada to Montana and stayed the night at my grandparents place. I haven't been to my grandparents since before we moved to Puerto Rico, so it was fun to be able to talk and catch up.

4th of July

For the 4th of July, Matt at the last minute decided that he wanted to head to Rexburg. For those of you who know me I am not a last minute person, so I ran around like a crazy person trying to get everything packed (we headed to Canada the following Tuesday) and the house cleaned. We had so much fun going to the parade, the Mortensen family reunion and the fireworks.
Brodyn loved all the flags that were around town. Dredyn is MIA because he was taking a much needed nap.

Me and my hunny waiting for the Fireworks to start. And Dredyn playing peek-a-boo in the background.

Some of the gang that went to the fireworks.

I guess running around all day made my little man hungry.

My poor nephew Traeson got hit in the head with a piece of candy at the parade.

Matt, Brodyn, Dredyn and I waiting for the Fireworks to start. I love Brodyn in this picture, he definently loves the camra.

The Splash Park

We went to the splash park this last week in Idaho. I remember taking Brodyn when he was 8 or 9 months and then we moved to Puerto Rico and we have never been back. Brodyn and Dredyn had a lot of fun playing in the water and with their cousins.

I guess kyzon got hungry and the only food he could find was what Dredyn was eating. i must say what a precious moment.

This is how the boys got warm.

I thought Dredyn would cry because the water was freeeezzzzing. Nope he loved every minute of it.

Brodyn being a Dare Devil

This was one of the many fights we had to break up. Gotta love having so many boys in the family.

Tims Birthday Bash

Wendi invited us and some friends to go to dinner with her and Tim in Park City for Tims birthday. The dinner was fantastic and so was the company. Thanks for the invite and hope you had a great birthday Tim.Dredyn (he was spoiled and was the only kid invited) Me, Matt, Curtis, Ashton, Tim and Wendi and Ruths Chris.

Tim and Jax blowing out the birthday candles. Happy Birthday again Tim.

Swimming Lessons

This is Brodyns first year in swimming lessons and he loves them. I put him in the first session and also the second session. Its fun to see how he has improved over the last four weeks. We only had one slight scare when Brodyn fell off the ledge and into the water, meanwhile his teacher was helping another kid and didn't see him fall him. After a little panick attack from me and Matt yelling across the pool she realized that he had fallen in and to the rescue she went. All Brodyn said about the whole incident was "I didn't have my goggles" funny little kid. I really liked Brodyns teacher. She was really patient with the kids and she did an amazing job with Brodyn.

Dredyn wanted so badly to get into the water. He has done really well also at all of Brodyns lessons. He just sits and plays and every once in awhile will cry to get down.

Brodyn had to have some goggles. Out of three pairs, two blue ones and an orange one he picks the orange pair.

And he passes Preschool level 1. Only one more day and we will see if he passes Preschool level 2.
