Dredyn is Home!!!

1 week old

I can't believe that Dredyn is already 1 week old. It seems like I just had him yesterday. He has started to gain weight and is eating about 1/2 to 1 oz all by himself every third feeding, so we are getting there slowly. He has to gain more weight and drink 2 oz every meal by himself before he can come home. We are hoping for next week sometime.

Bath Time

I got to give Dredyn a bath the other day. I must say that giving a 1 week old a bath is a lot different then giving a two year old a bath. I forgot how hard it is. I know that my pictures are a little blury but I thought they were cute.

More pictures and an update on Dredyn

I can't believe that Dredyn is almost a week old. He has changed so much. He only weighs 5lbs 5 oz but today he finally drank 1 oz on his own, so we are hoping he will keep that up and soon he will get his feeding tube out and he will be able to come home. We only get to hold him every 3rd meal and since he eats every 3 hours we get to hold him only twice a day which pretty much makes me cry every time we go to the hospital. I keep telling myself that he will be home soon enough and I can hold him all I want. All in all he is doing great and so is the rest of my family.

Just to give you all a idea of how small he is, we measured his head to Matts thumb.

He loves to hold our fingers. He is holding my thumb. His hands and fingers are so small.

We had a nice suprise when My water broke on Tuesday morning at 3:00 a.m. We went to the hospital and at 7:17 a.m. are little bundle of joy was born. He was 5 weeks early and weighed in at 5lbs 9 oz and was 19 in long. I am home and he is still in the hospital. Once he starts eating on his own and can have his feeding tube taken out then we can bring him home. We are hoping for next week some time. I know my pictures are a little out of order but oh well. We are so excited to finally have him here and we love him so much. I took this picture today. He looks so good. What a sweetheart
